Bethesda Delay STARFIELD Into 2023

Writer: John.PJohn.P

Yes, you read that correctly, the biggest new IP of the year for Xbox is no longer coming in 2022 and has been pushed into the first half of 2023.

Redfall, another Bethesda studios title is also set to be a 2023 release too, but with Starfield being Xbox's big holiday 2022 game, it begs the question what is there for fans of Microsoft to enjoy come Christmas time.

The decision comes directly from Bethesda's social media account on twitter Official tweet by Bethesda announcing the reasoning to be add final levels of polish, bug fixing, testing and the desired best experience to be had by the player. A fair reason for a delay to be sure given their past with Fallout 76 being a miserable failure on launch and disappointing fans on mass.

The delay itself is hardly a shock given the fact we were a mere six months from release with zero gameplay, narrative details or information on the game as a whole outside its initial teaser trailer.

However we are sure its final release by Summer 2023 will be worth the wait, Bethesda are masters of open-world role play games even if they tend to be a little buggy!
